Warner Chilcott in Dundalk

Feb. 24th, 2010

Good news today, with the announcement that pharmaceutical company Warner Chilcott will establish a new facility in Dundalk. This could result in the creation of up to 200 high-skilled jobs, in areas that complement the work we do here at ICBC.

In Oct 2009, Warner Chilcott acquired the global branded pharmaceutical business of Procter & Gamble in a transaction with an upfront payment of $3.1B, transforming the company into a global pharmaceutical player. The company is focused on the gastroenterology, women's healthcare, and urology segments of the US and EU markets, and also has an interest in osteoarthritis and cancer markets.

Roger Boissonneault, Chief Executive of Warner Chilcott told the audience that the decision to establish a presence in Dundalk was influenced by the talent and resources at Dundalk Institute of Technology, and he reinforced the notion that Dundalk is ideally situated in Ireland, for global pharmaceutical drug development.

We wish to extend a warm welcome to Warner Chilcott.
